FAQ
Who supplies Speed Queen commercial laundry equipment in Sydney?
F.L. Costello & Co, trading as Speed Queen Australia, is the sole distributor of Speed Queen and UniMac commercial laundry equipment for NSW and the ACT. The business has supplied Sydney since 1955 and operates a showroom at 245 Rawson St, Auburn.
What should I consider when buying commercial laundry equipment?
Start with capacity and duty cycle: how many kilograms per load, and how many loads a day. Then look at water and energy efficiency, the space and services available on site, whether you need commercial or industrial-grade machines, and what warranty, parts and servicing support comes with the purchase. We walk Sydney buyers through all of this before recommending a machine.
What is the difference between commercial and industrial laundry machines?
Commercial machines are built for frequent daily use in places like laundromats, apartment blocks and smaller facilities. Industrial machines take heavier loads and longer operating hours, with larger capacities and components rated for continuous use in settings like healthcare, aged care and large-scale laundries. The right choice comes down to your daily volume, which we can assess with you.
Do you service and repair commercial laundry equipment in Sydney?
Yes. We service and repair Speed Queen and UniMac commercial and industrial equipment across Sydney and NSW, using genuine OEM spare parts. Call (02) 9748 2155 to book a service.
Can you help me set up a laundromat in Sydney?
Yes. We assist with site assessment, laundry planning and layout, vended equipment selection, installation and after-sales support, and we've been fitting out Sydney laundromats for decades.
Where can I see the machines before buying?
At our Auburn showroom, 245 Rawson St, Auburn NSW 2144, which displays the home laundry range and compact commercial machines. Call 1300 WASHER (1300 927 437) to arrange a time.
